YouTube has no thumbnail download button, and right-clicking only gets a tiny preview image. The workaround is manually constructing a URL with the video ID and hoping the max resolution version exists.

How It Works

• Navigate to a video page: Visit any YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion video page, or browse a channel, playlist, or search results page.
• Click the extension icon: The extension detects all available thumbnail images and lists them with resolution labels from small previews to maxresdefault.
• Choose your resolution: Select the thumbnail size you need. For YouTube, options typically range from 120x90 to the full 1280x720 maxresdefault image.
• Download with video title naming: Thumbnails are saved with the video title as the filename for easy identification. Batch download from playlist and channel pages.
